Us with Fortunat

Dear Family!

Well this week has been quite a great one! There has been a lot that happened so hopefully I can capture just a portion of it.

Tuesday after we got out of district meeting we were able to go help a member who is missing a leg do some work in his yard. I had the opportunity to mow his lawn. It's been a very long time since I've had to mow a lawn so it was quite interesting. He was very grateful for the help that we gave.

Later that night we got to go visit with Gerelle and his wife. It was nice to be able to visit with them. She hasn't been feeling to well and the baby is causing lots of time consumption, and she hasn't even been born yet. But it was nice to sit down with them and talk about some more of the commandments that are essential within the church. He is just tons of fun to teach because whenever a subject or topic comes up, he interprets it the way that we meant for it to be. It was a joyful sight to see them at church because we haven't seen them there for a while.

Wednesday night we were able to visit with Fortunat which was a blessing. He has been being prepared for the gospel for quite sometime. We taught him the word of wisdom and the Law of Chastity. He received those very well and committed to quit when he heard the message. He walked us through his home and showed us everything he eats or drinks to make sure that he will be able to keep the word of wisdom. He is so prepared for baptism. It was also very exciting to see him at church on Sunday as well! The ward has fellowshipped him amazingly.

Then on Friday we were able to go and visit with the Agwu family. We have been trying to get in to see them because they have two kids who haven't been baptized yet. I guess missionaries have been trying to get over there to see them but they haven't been welcoming. We got in to see them and they are ready to get baptized. Now we just need to teach all the lessons to them now to be able to get baptized.

Sorry this one is short! We have been up in Arlington Cemetery for the day.

Love,
Elder Bentley
